My best friend, Miss Abby McCune is engaged. I am so excited for her. But I have this horrible pang in my stomach because I can't be with her to help in any way because she lives in Chicago and I live in Northwest Iowa. I haven't even seen her in like...9 months!
I am turning twenty in a little more than 6 months.
Kaitlin is going to prom this year for the first time ever (probably her first time to a dance too).
Jess isn't going to be at Dordt with me this semester.
I haven't seen my big brother in over a year.
This coming summer is going to be really different--hopefully in an awesome way.
I am missing my little sisters' growing up years. They are growing up and I am not really a part of it.
A lot of the people I have become really close to and cherish are leaving at the end of this semester to go off into the wide wide world and leaving me behind, missing them like crazy while they have wonderful new and exciting adventures.
Change. It sucks that as much as its a bad thing, its still always a good thing.

I have a January interim break from Jan.25-29. Now, I'm not promising anything, but since I haven't seen you in forever -- and probably won't for a longer time than my SpringHill friends of Ohio -- weather pending, I might try and make a trip out to Iowa at that time. I can visit my sister and brother-in-law in Des Moines as well.
