we live in a beautiful world

the garden state soundtrack makes me happy.

this weekend made me happy.

i got to see lots of wonderful people whom i love and adore .
it was good.

i realized while driving through michigan on my way to holland that the trees were red and orange. the trees don't turn orange and red in sioux center. the leaves just die and then fall down and are brown. now i love brown, crunchy leaves under my feet because i never experienced that as a child. but there is something about red and orange trees against a bright blue sky that took my breath away.

i realized how much i love the rolling hills of iowa in fall. the harvest colors are beautiful. its awe-inspiring how creative and diverse Gods color palatte is.

i realized how much i love the bright lights and traffic of chicago. i miss the bustling of city life. i miss traffic jams and people who actually know how to drive. but i mostly miss the bright lights at night even though they block out the stars.

i realized how much i love walking in the rain. there is something refreshing about it. rain may be one of my favorite types of weather. except for the worms that accompany it. those kinda gross me out.

God created a pretty beautiful place. it was good to remember that.

he also created some pretty awesome people. i like spending time with pretty awesome people.

leaves get red and orange here sometimes...it depends on what the weather is like in the fall. last year there was an extremely long period involving much red and orange and yellow.
