its all happening at the zoo

i'm going to update pictures of camp on here

there aren't very many right now, just views and such. so just check it every now and again if you'd like to see my life in color.

camp is going well. planning is boring, but necessary. the problem is, i can't do a lot of planning until all the other coordinators are done with their schedules. the CHIPS (Christian Teens in Partnership with Summer Camp - yes, it really is the worst attempt at an acronym ever...) - the high schoolers who i work with - pretty much work around everyone elses schedule.

and people are slowly arriving. now the coordinators are here (there are 7 of us) and those training to be lifeguards. so i think 12 people are here now. we'll be up to 25 when the rest of the staff arrives this coming sunday.

today, though, i wish i could be home. a lady from our church died on sunday after a long battle with cancer. malorie is really good friends her daughter, and my family has gotten close to theirs. i have never met lynn, and yet i wish i could go to the funeral to show my support for my family, especially malorie, and lynn's family.

i'll just have to resign myself to leaving tomorrow night instead.
