you are always trying to keep it real

the weather at the hills has left a bit to be desired. it stormed most of the last two weeks. much of our lower ground and the trails are flooded. we haven't been able to get camp ready the way it should be for the campers who arrive on monday.

but, despite these frustrations, i can't help but admire the beauty of the storms. so. i hope this gives you a bit of a picture of what the weather has been.




also, dancing in the rain brings a satisfaction that i love. if you've never done it before, you should probably give it a try.

it rained with this intensity for about 4 hours. the staff all wanted to watch the storm come.....

the temperature dropped rapidly as we watched the storm roll in.

and then the rain and hail came. this is the back porch

this is the front of the lodge about 5 minutes after the rain started. you can see by the puddles how hard it was coming down.



moral of story - if you haven't played in the rain, you should probably make it a goal of yours this summer. life isn't completely when you haven't spent time splashing in puddles, soaked to the bone, laughing so hard it hurts.
